Camping/hiking and why everyone should do it this summer

Hiking is one of the best ways to not only get a good workout but getting into the forest and just sitting with how amazing and beautiful nature is. Camping is like a nice escape from the city life, you have a wonderful chance to see wildlife, you have a high chance of seeing deer, rabbits, even bears, a variety of different types of birds, from big to small and all sorts of beautiful colors. Often my favorite part of camping is the smell of the moss, and the smell of fresh dew on the grass from the condensation from the night before that’s slowly starting to evaporate from the warmth of the sun. Waking up to the birds chirping loudly and the cicadas singing is such a lovely sound to wake up to, way better than an alarm. Listening to music well you’re camping is another thing I personally enjoy doing; everyone’s different so some people prefer just enjoying the quiet of nature. How Petting a Dog a Day Can Help Reduce Anxiety and Depression

To prove that petting dogs does change your mood, I asked a few people to answer a simple question on whether or not petting dogs helped relieve their stress and anxiety.  Each person I asked said similar things, one of the people I asked said “Yes I feel that if I’m super anxious petting my dog can help immensely”.  “When i’m stressed i often go to the dog park and just watch all the dogs play and have fun.”

Climate change and how it affects humans.
As a society a lot of us choose to ignore the very obvious signs of climate change, most of us choose to ignore all the scientists talking about how big of an issue this truly is. We go about our daily lives, dealing with school, homework, issues at home, hanging out with friends, and we don’t stop to think about all the animals dying everyday because of how high our PPM is. Recently in 2017 it’s finally passed 400 PPM.

Review on Issaquah

Here is a picture of one of the trails I walked on in Issaquah

I recently spent 3 days up there at my best friend’s house which is very close to  klahanie but it’s on the outskirts, close to Beaver Lake middle school.

She lives fairly close to a park/forest. For the 3 days  I was there we would go hiking, and we went on the zipline her neighbors owned.
We saw deer, we saw all types of animals such as frogs and rabbits. Honestly it was such a nice break from the city life. It was nice to just relax and unwind from all the stress of everything. One thing that is stuck in my mind is the sweet aroma of the forest, the smell of moss, the faint petrichor wafting through the trees. I also remember the aching in my feet after hiking for so long.  Honestly I recommend going up there and exploring the trails of  snake hill . There are many trails to go off on an adventure on. Who is someone that is important to you? What are some memories you have with that person that makes you ecstatic, that makes you feel loved and cared about?

I think it is so very important to always surround yourself with positive people, people that make you always feel appreciated, people that always want to make sure you’re okay. So let me tell you about someone that is so very close to my heart and who has made an impact on my life for the better.
My best friend Kiri is someone who is so important to my heart. She is my best friend and I love her dearly. Kiri in a way is like the color green; she really has in mind what she wants to do and she doesn’t let people tell her what she can and can’t to; she is so passionate about her art and she is confident in who she is.

Why do some adults / some teenagers treat mental illness like it’s not important?


One thing that I can’t understand is why people feel the need to say things such as “Oh if you just go outside you’ll feel better”, “just get over that it’s not that big of a deal”, “Don’t worry so much”. Things like this don’t help anyone with mental illness if anything it just makes the person feel worse because people don’t understand how serious it is.
