Greenbean Coffee House

The rebuilding process will be costly and arduous for the Greenbean.

The Greenbean coffee house is a not-for-profit cafe in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Open Mic Nights, Live Music, storybook time for children and other fun community-oriented activities are held in this space on a weekly basis. On October 23, 2009, a fire set by an arsonist A mural painted by a local artist will be erected in front of the Greenbean’s old location.

I have been a Greenbean customer for almost 5 years now, I’ve played several open mic nights there in the past, and my first ever gig was held there with fellow Dead Rat Angela Neice (Neicie). The Greenbean was like my second home for a long time, and however tragic these horrible events might be, I know that all will be well for Greenbean Co-Founders Lisa Etter and Hayden Smith.

If you would like to stop by the Greenbean, sip on their coffee, and help support their fire relief fund, they are located inside the Greenwood Sip and Ship, between 85th and 87th on Greenwood, next to Naked City brewery.
